North of Belgium (Flanders)

Coastline:

Let’s start with a view of the North Sea. You can find some very nice pictures on Instagram at instagram.com/Bray.Dunes. This is the border between France and Belgium, with 65 km of coastline until The Netherlands. Did you know that the longest railway in Europe is at the Belgian coast? This is operated by ‘De Lijn’ (The Line), from De Panne to Knokke-Heist. This region is also known for its historical places of Dixmude and Ypres due to World War I and II.

One-day trip to see at least 3 cities:

Bruges:

One of the most popular places in Belgium. Enjoy the chocolate and the little Venice-style old town. It’s a must to explore all the little streets. You will find great places for Instagram pictures and it’s also good for shopping and relaxing. A one-day trip is required to fully experience it.

Ghent:

An artist’s place to be. If you’re lucky, you might be at the right place at the right moment to see an incredible masterpiece of art at the basilica in Ghent. In the evening, you can enjoy the nightlife and the generous sound of Belgium will bring you back to reality… you are in Belgium.

Brussels:

Brussels, Belgium is a city famous for its beer. With over 1,000 different types of beer, you’re sure to find something that suits your taste buds. From fruity lambics to complex Trappist ales, there’s a beer for every mood and occasion. In addition to beer, Brussels is also known for its chocolate, waffles, and fries.
